American Salamander

Danger rating *****
This ones for America. The American Salamander is not what you'd thin of if you thought dragon. It dwells far away from land. Supposedly it looks just like a huge salamander, and although it has no wings it does breath flame hotter than any other species.
This dragon is classified as very dangerous on my listing for a reason (Check danger rating top of the page) This is why so little is known of this particular species. Only a few have seen it, and many of those who have were shocked nearly to death. I cannot know how many others encountered this beast and never lived to tell the tale.
I have one word of advice for you now. Avoid it at all costs if you want to survive!

Cocatrice

Danger rating ***
Of course we now come to the epic, and most lovely Cocatrice. If you were to look at this dragon your first thought would be of a phoenix. Indeed it is sometimes thought that cocatrice are crosses between phoenixes and wyverns. They greatly resemble a bird with brilliant plumage, but still something reptilian lingers.
Some have believed cocatrices to be the inoccent Canadian dragons. In fact they are quite scheaming. Many cocatrices die just after birth. Because of this cocatrices, like most dragons, are slowly dying out.
Although Cocatrices are mischevious they have been known to bring great wisdom to man kind through thoughts and idealism. They have the power to communicate through dreams, and often use this for influence on mortals, whether for the good or bad.
It has also been said that cocatrices live off of thought alone, and this is why they can survive the rough climate.

Wyverns

danger rating **

Wyverns are not uncommon dragons. Unlike most species they have only two somewhat bird like legs and very flexible wings. There wings seem to be a cross between the classic reptilian European dragon and the all to bird like cocatrice.
This particular species lives only in certain parts of mid western Africa. They feed on the very uncommon smaller animals of the area, or any live stock they may encounter. More than anything, however, wyverns are scavengers, prefering to feast on what another beast killed.
Small in size and unable to breath deadly flames, wyverns are one of the less powerful of the dragons.

European Dragons

Danger rating ***
The most commonly known European dragon is, of course, the European Dragon. This is what you would consider your classic steal the princess fire breathing dragon. Long, large reptilian wings, spikes down their backs, and huge teeth, these are some of the more fearsome dragons. Unlike the Wyverns of midwestern Africa, European dragons feed mainly off of deer, elk, moose, or other large forest herbivors. Even with there common place in fairy tales, European Dragons are incredibly hard to trace. They are always in motion, and there could be anywhere from a thousand, to three or four. Of course there is always a chance this species of dragon is simply make believe. A combination of other Europe dwelling dragons.
Although these dragons were once a very popular source of myth all over the world, less and less is heard of their existence. This could indicate that the species is either dying out, or migrating to a safer, less industrial area. Whether they exist or not this will not be my last say on this particular species. I will be doing some more in depth research to study the history of the creature and clamed sightings throughout the European countryside.
